Is there a story unfolding in your community? Let Hivisasa know

At this Hill, water defies the rules of gravity and flows uphill.

Kituluni Hills is a stretch covering up to one square kilometre. It has become a tourist attraction site where people flock from different parts of the world to marvel at the mystical waters that flow uphill.

To prove this mystery, people have always parked their vehicles at the side of this Hill. Interestingly, their cars have always moved uphill at about a speed of 5km/hr

This oddity has been associated with various legends from the surrounding Kamba community. More so, the place got a name, “Kwaume” meaning the men’s place.

However, the place has been renamed “Kwamwilu.” This is because of a myth that surrounds it. It is believed that there was a beautiful woman married to two men near that place.

To decide which man she was to visit a particular day, she could rest by the stream that separates the two homes belonging to her men. However, the two men died and were buried uphill.

According to this myth, the two men still fight in their after-life for this woman, and this is the cause of the pull of gravity uphill. Funny right?
