Siaya Senator James Orengo found himself on the receiving end from a section of residents after receiving a rare gift from Legio Maria believers from the county.
The renowned lawyer was on Monday visited by the group from Bar Ober Church at his home in Ugenya sub-county within the county.
The group of six brought with it a gift of a white sheep for the senator, in a meeting Orengo says was used to discuss the church's project in the county.
"Meeting with members of Bar Ober Legio Maria Church and discussing their projects," he wrote on his Twitter handle.
However, Twitter users drawn from the same county used the post as an avenue to fire their criticisms at the lawmaker, some accusing him of poor performance.
Others used the platform to sarcastically hit out at the Senator, wondering why he never wore a white robe to match the group as another found the sheep creamy.
Others demanded that he use his closeness to the government to push for the construction of some roads in the county which are in pathetic conditions.
However, some were of the opinion that he is doing a great job and went ahead to congratulate him for taking such an initiative.
