Most people think that celebrities mostly in the entertainment sector opted for their careers after failing in their education or did not pursue higher education.

Here is a list of three Kenyan celebrities who pursued one of the most dreaded courses at the university level and spent about seven years in class work before joining the entertainment industry where they are also doing well. 

DJ Tabz

 Her real name is Tabitha Githere. The award-winning DJ is a graduate of the University of Nairobi holding a degree in law. 

She is also an advocate at the high courts of Kenya after successfully going through Kenya school of law. In 2015, Dj Tabz scooped the most promising DJ of the year during groove awards. 

Brian Chweya 

Brian Chweya is a talented singer and a songwriter.

He is a member of the popular Elani band and the hit song ‘kuliko jana’ by Elani band is part of his work. 

He graduated from the University of Nairobi in 2012 with a degree in law and was later admitted to the bar in 2014.

Maureen Kunga.

 The beauty queen with brains is also a member of Elani band. 

She scored an A plain in her Kenya certificate for secondary school education (KCSE)  and was admitted at the University of Nairobi where she pursued law.
