Nandi County senator Samson Kiprotich Cherargei has asked President Uhuru Kenyatta to come out clear on the Mau eviction matter.
Through a Facebook post on Thursday, Cherargei challenged the state noting that they are ready to sacrifice for citizens who elected them.
According to Cherargei, the government may fight elected leaders, however, he claimed they will not watch as the state goes for ordinary Kenyans like in the case of Mau Forest.
He noted that nobody disputes conservancy efforts on water towers, that should be done within the law and observing the basic rights entitled to a human being.
"If the establishment wants to send a message of whatever nature, please come for us elected leaders as you have lately been doing, we are ready to take the bullet on behalf of those who elected us. Do not go for them, they are helpless citizens and voters," Cherargei noted.
Cherargei who asked the media to expose what is happening in Mau further noted they are summing Keriko Tobiko to appear before Senate's Justice, Legal Affairs and Human Rights Committee to justify his one-man show in Mau.
"I demand that the President comes clean and state his position on this matter. We shall not keep on speculating on whether his promise to those voters in Mau trust land has changed," he added
