The county boss and his deputy James Nyoro have in the recent past been engaging in a feud over several matters pertaining to the management of the county.

It took the intervention of Deputy President William Ruto for the leaders to unite and agree to work together in serving the residents of Kiambu.

However, the two fell out again last week after the DG accused Waititu of failing to implement the unity pact they made in June during a meeting presided over by Kiambu Senator Kimani Wamatangi.

Nyoro on Saturday claimed that Waititu is still making decisions without consulting him and other leaders in the county.

"Nothing has changed from the meeting that was convened by Senator Kimani Wamatangi and we fear that things could get worse for Kiambu people… Waititu has completely ignored the agenda we agreed on and continues to run the county as his own home," said Nyoro.

The deputy governor further claimed that some county workers have not received their salaries since May, allegations that Waititu has since denied.

Speaking on Sunday during a church service at the PCEA Musa Gitau Gikambura Church in Kikuyu, Waititu slammed Nyoro, saying he failed to transform the county when he had been left in charge.

"I recently travelled abroad for three weeks and before that, I had travelled to Thailand as the Planning and Urban Development chairman alongside other governors... I left the county behind and did not carry the keys to the county. I expected those who have been fighting me to work hard and deliver better services in a bid to prove that Waititu has been failing in his mandate. They instead kept on shouting my name while I was abroad instead of working for the people,” said Waititu.
