Kuria went to his Facebook account to congratulate K’Ogalo shortly after Gor Mahia beat AFC Leopards 2-0 on Saturday to successfully defend the title with six games to spare.

In the post, Kuria challenged the club’s management to come up with permanent solutions of ending their consistent financial challenges and to stop begging for money.

The legislator, who is a confessed K’Ogalo fan, also asked the team to qualify for the quarter-finals at the continental levels.

“Congratulations my boys K’Ogalo for clinching KPL 2018. Now we have three major headaches to overcome. Qualifying for the quarter-finals at the continental level, always begging for money for air tickets despite our mighty brand and getting a serious challenger at the local level,” Kuria wrote on his Facebook page.

Kuria’s comments come days after President Uhuru Kenyatta bailed out Gor Mahia with an Sh6 million handout to enable the team honour a CAF Confederation Cup return leg match in which they face USM Alger on Wednesday.

Here are reactions from North Eastern residents following Kuria’s post:
