It is pain, stress and sadness for one family in Baringo after the tragic loss of their son in a motor accident.
The family of Chesirwo Menego is in grief following the death of their son, Hillary Kiplimo Arusei who was a bodaboda operator in Kabarnet.
Kiplimo was involved in a road accident a month ago and sustained serious head injuries.
He has been receiving treatment at the Moi Teaching and Referral Hospital(MTRH), Eldoret where he died on Thursday last week.
According to his mother, Esther Kipchumba, Kiplimo's death has left the family with a burden owing to the hefty funeral expenses they are required to foot.
"We are now required to raise a total of Sh350,000 to cater for funeral expenses and a medical bill which he incurred while undergoing specialized treatment at the referral hospital after he got an accident at Kapropita road where he suffered an internal head injury," her mother tearfully said.
His sister, Rose Jepchirchir pleaded with well-wishers to come to the aid of her family.
"We are calling upon well-wishers to support us so that we can offset the hospital bill," she pleaded.
A fundraiser has since been organised and is set to be held at the bodaboda stage outside Kabarnet market on Wednesday at starting 4 pm.
Kiplimo, 24, has been described as a hardworking young man by his colleagues.
He started his education at St Mary's Nursery School, then proceeded to Visa Oshwal Primary School.
He later joined Oinobmoi Secondary School and thereafter, enrolled for a technical course at Baringo Technical College.
Well-wishers can also contribute through 0721 604400 or 0721 688 929.
