As the world mourns former UN Secretary-General Koffi Annan, Dennis Itumbi has a different story to tell about him.
Itumbi took to social media claiming that he only remembers Annan as a man who attempted to bar President Uhuru Kenyatta and his deputy William Ruto from ascending to power.
He also argued that Kenyans decided not to listen to Annan and voted for the duo to lead the nation.
“I personally choose to remember Koffi Annan as the man who attempted to stop UhuRuto from being President and wanted them jailed at ICC. Choices, he agreed with Johnie Carson, have consequences. Kenyan people ignored him and made their choice at the ballot anyway,” he wrote on Facebook.
The death of Annan has left the World in shock.
He was at the heart of the formation of Kenya's grand coalition government after former prime minister Raila Odinga and former president Mwai Kibaki differed following a disputed general election that saw thousands of Kenyans perish in election violence.
Koffi reunited the two and saw the formation of a grand coalition in which Raila was appointed the second prime minister of Kenya.
