Led by ANC politician Thomas Nyamote, they said DP Ruto should surrender the Hotel since the land was grabbed.

"Ruto should voluntarily surrender Weston hotel since he admitted that the land was grabbed. He is not powerful than the law to continue owning the hotel which was build on public land," said Nyamote.

Kenya National Congress (KNC) party official Atati Kengere argued that it is high time for DP Ruto to surrender property he has acquired through dubious means.

"If Ruto believes he is not a thief let him surrender Weston Hotel so that Kenyans can trust him and elected him president in 2022 failure to which he will be a dangerous person to be elected the next president," said Atati.

Isaac Motari a Jubilee party youth leader argued that DP Ruto means good for this country.

"Who has ever seen a cartel admitting to have acquired property illegally? Ruto is winning the hearts of Kenyans ahead of the 2022 polls," said Motari.
