Kapseret MP Oscar Sudi has claimed that businessman Zedekiah Bundotich Kiprop alias Buzeki will not be allowed to take over Uasin Gishu's governorship in 2022.
The MP, an ardent supporter of Deputy President William Ruto said Buzeki has until December to go back to Jubilee if he wants to succeed Governor Jackson Mandago in 2022.
A few weeks ago, Buzeki ditched Jubilee and joined Isaac Ruto led Chama Cha Mashinani (CCM). He cited that there was foul play in Jubilee which would deny him a party nomination ticket in 2022.
However, in his tirade, Sudi said that “I speak this as a person of the street, and I know what I’m saying. If he is wise let him come back to Jubilee, we give him until December. Let me tell you the truth, Buzeki will not be governor while I’m here."
Sudi further claimed that Buzeki is being used to derail DP Ruto's plan to succeed President Uhuru Kenyatta in 2022.
Buzeki unsuccessfully contested for the gubernatorial seat in 2017 on an independent ticket where he lost to Mandago who vied on a Jubilee Party ticket.
Sudi's sentiments have been condemned by a section of residents in the are who claim that the Kapseret MP is propagating politics of ethnicity.
