However, it has emerged that his role in Raila Odinga's swearing-in ceremony as the people's president largely contributed to his non-appointment in the just-completed unison deal.
According to a source privy to the handshake deals, Farah Maalim together with his Wiper party team played a very insignificant role in the 'outlawed' swearing ceremony which was regarded as a matter of life and death for the Nasa chief Raila Odinga.
The ceremony was popularly regarded as treason by state agencies, which meant that Raila would be sentenced to death. However, the matter never proceeded to court to reach finality.
Since the last elections, Farah Maalim has maintained a low profile which close allies intimating that he is laying the ground for 2022 gubernatorial politics.
