Kitutu Masaba MP Shadrack Mose maintained that Nyamira will continue lagging behind on matters development should Governor John Nyagarama fail to fight escalating graft in the devolved unit.

"Cartels have turned Nyamira a corruption zone. Public monies are being diverted to some individuals pockets instead of the monies being used to develop Nyamira," he said.

The Jubilee legislator challenged the county leadership to open up eyes and address corruption in the county.

Mr Mose said Nyagarama has condoned his close allies and relatives in stealing from public resources.

"Some people are earning huge monthly salaries from the county without there work being seen. These are the cartels who need to be exposed so that the monies being wasted to pay ghost workers can be used to fund development projects in the county," stated the MP.

He appealed to Governor John Nyagarama to tell Nyamira people the progress of cleaning up the county payroll.
