Nairobi governor Mike Mbuvi Sonko remembered his father during the Christmas day in a very special way.
In a series of photos and videos shared on his social media wall, Facebook, Sonko can be seen celebrating Christmas in a T-shirt branded “Forever Rest In Peace Dad.”
Sonko laid his father to rest on September 15, 2015 at their Mua Hills farm in Machakos County.
Known for his love for expensive things, he laid his father Gideon Kioko Kivanguli to rest in a casket covered with Diamond and Gold flakes.
This was just a measure of the love he had for him. As if this was not enough, he always remembers his late father during special moments on his life to prove his insurmountable love.
The city boss had invited residents at his Mua home for the Christmas celebration. He took to Facebook to welcome all who were home alone to go celebrate with him.
“After giving Christmas donations to the less fortunate in society, now it's my turn to enjoy Christmas alone. For those who have been left lonely by their families like me come we enjoy together as we are still alive,” he posted.
He was the only one wearing the branded T-shirt during the celebrations.
