Deputy President William Ruto has been asked to keep off the Handshake debate for 'he is not worthy to per take into it'.
Speaking on Saturday at Kakemer during the Burial of the father to Teso North MP, ODM leader Raila Odinga said it is only those 'who took an oath of the Presidency' should meet and discuss the future of the country.
"Uhuru aliapishwa na mimi pia nilichukua kiapo. Kwa hivyo, waliochukua viapo vya Urais tu ndo walifaa kuketi. (Uhuru took an oath and I also took an oath.Those who took oath of Presidency deserved to meet and talk about the future of this country),"Raila said
Odinga was speaking amidst heavy criticism of the handshake by the Ruto allied 'Tanga Tanga' movement, terming it as a witch-hunt mission to stop Ruto ascending to the Presidency.
The Burial was attended by thousands of residents, friends and colleagues of the Teso North MP Dr Oku Kaunya.
Mzee Francis Kaunya Masai passed away on 22nd May 2019 from shock after learning about the death of his eldest daughter earlier.
According to the family, Mzee Francis Kaunya Masai was in good health only to be struck by the sad news.
