The candidates who have hit the road for campaigns were cleared by area returning officer Moses Daula and will be battling out for the over the 11, 000 votes on August 17.
The by-election comes as a result of nullification of Fred Sambu's victory by Ogembo court directing IEBC to conduct a fresh election. The petition was filed by ODM candidate Omari Ombeo. He will be battling it out again with Jubilee's Fred Sambu.
The candidates who have been cleared include Haron Masese of Maendeleo Chap Chap, Tom Bosire of RPK, Andrew Manyura of Ford-Kenya and Vincent Kerosi on KSC ticket.
Others are Robert Siocha (PDP), Samuel Gwaro(Peoples Empowerment Party), Zephaniah Mose (RLP) and George Maganga (NAD).
However, Mr Daula has sounded a warning to the candidates against violating the laid down election rules during their campaigns.
“I am challenging the candidates to conduct themselves well during their campaigns. They should respect each other I am also cautioning those who will break the rules that they risk barred from the ballot,” said Saula.
The main contestant, Fred Sambu has expressed confidence of retaining the seat.
“I will defeat my opponents because the electorates have confidence in me,” he said.
