In 2013, under the cover of darkness, he sneaked into the Garissa Primary School venue where Martha Karua, a presidential candidate then, was scheduled to hold a political rally the following day.
He did so with the most sinister of motives; to plant an explosive device under the platform on which the NARC Kenya supremo would stand while addressing residents.
There is every reason to believe that he was aware that a political rally would happen the following day, Sunday.
Fate had other ideas.
As the suspected Al-Shabaab suspect was planting the explosive, it went off ripping his body apart into bloody shreds.
What's more, the explosion pieced through the platform and its roof.
Residents living in the vicinity of the school say that they had the sound of a violent explosion Saturday night.
