State House postponed President Uhuru Kenyatta's visit to Migori alongside that of Magufuli over 'itinerary clashes'.

And Nyamira based youths led by Kitutu Masaba chairman Douglas Maati said they cancelled the protests upon consultation with embattled businessman Don Bosco's family.

"We have categorically agreed to cancel the protests after consulting the family. They have asked us to wait a bit.

"As people, we were ready to ask President Magufuli to release Don Bosco unconditionally. It has been a long wait," he said.

Since 2013, Bosco has remained in Arusha prison over alleged money laundering and fraud case which is yet to be prosecuted.

The family has accused the Kenyan government of doing too little to address the plight of the businessman.
