Deputy President William Ruto has offered to pay the school fees of a young boy who was once chased away from a birthday party due to his dishevelled looks.
Young James Mbugua met the DP on Monday evening through the help of comedian Vincent Muasya popularly known as Chipukeezy.
It is after their meeting that Chipukeezy took to his Instagram page where he spread the good news, after earlier promising Mbugua of linking him up with the DP.
“Just the other day I told my friend ‘Mathwiti’ that we will take him to meet the boss so that he can tell him whatever he wanted, and yesterday nigh they met and he told him that he only wanted education. So ‘Mathwiti’ will be educated up to the level that he wants (Juzi Tuliambia Rafiki yangu Mathwiti tutamplekea Mdosi aseme vile anataka na jana usiku waipatana na akasema yeye anataka kusoma tu ...So Mathwiti atasoma mpaka mahali anataka),” Chipukeezy wrote on Instagram.
The young Mbugua won the hearts of many with his vernacular song titled ‘Mathwiti’. The song was apparently based on a true life story where a few years back, he was chased away from a birthday party because he was rugged.
