Speaking in Bomet East constituency on Saturday during the burial of Collins Kones, son of area Member of Parliament Beatrice Kones, Sudi also declared that he is not celebrating the handshake which was marked its first year.

”I don't celebrate one year after the handshake and I want to remind my friend Uhuru Kenyatta that in 2002 William Ruto supported you. In 2007, you supported Mwai Kibaki and the Kalenjins supported Raila Odinga and in 2013 and 2017 we massively campaigned for you,” he said

Asking the head of state to announce his stand ahead of 2022, the vocal MP admitted that it is not yet the right time for politics but said he is forced to engage in politics following what he said was the sudden change of things after the handshake.

“We are not fools, we reason like you and we can see. I ask you Mr president to tell us if you support Raila Odinga in 2022 and we will have no problem. William Ruto is the most loyal person in Kenya and doesn't despise his respect,” he noted.

The burial ceremony was attended by a majority of Deputy President William Ruto’s allies among them Bomet governor Joyce Laboso, Kericho Senator Aaron Cheruiyot, his Elgeyo Marakwet counterpart Kipchumba Murkomen and former Bomet governor Isaac Ruto.
