The race for the 2022 general elections continues to gain momentum across the political divide.
Former and sitting politicians are putting in place strategies for their favourites seats in the 2022 general election.
Here are Kiambu politicians who lost in the 2017 general election but stand a higher chance of making it back to active politics in 2022.
1. Kigo Njenga
He lost re-election for the Gatundu North Parliamentary seat in the 2017 election.
Njenga is currently Kiambu County Government Executive Member for Finance.
2. Karungo wa Thang'wa
The former Ngewa MCA lost bid for the Kiambu Senate seat in 2017 election.
Thang'wa is currently Kiambu County government Executive Member for Environment.
He is among youthful politicians to shape the Kiambu 2022 succession politics.
3. Alice Ng'ang'a
She lost re-election for the Thika Parliamentary seat to former Jungle Nuts CEO Patrick Wainaina.
She has exuded confidence in being elected as Thika MP in 2022 general election.
4. Esther Gathongo
She lost re-election for the Ruriru parliamentary seat in 2017.
5.William Kabogo
He lost re-election for the governor seat to Ferdinand Waititu in 2017 election.
He has remained vocal on politics and could easily make a return in 2022 owing to his influence, experience and popularity among Kiambu residents.
It is a matter of time before we know whether these politicians will be making a return in 2022.
