We would all like to live in mansions and cute apartments like the ones we see in the movies. However, when you start your life the reality is you need to find a place that is affordable. The cheap places feel like they are in the outskirts of Nairobi but they serve the purpose, they are nice, affordable and if you’re feeling positive it feels like you’re out of town in such places. Life in these places is generally cheaper.
1. Kinoo/Uthiru
They have really nice houses that are worth looking at if you are on a tight budget. You can even get a two bedroom for 20k and split the bill with a housemate. Alternatively, they have houses between Sh8,000 and Sh13,000. A bedsitter goes for between Sh5,000 and Sh 8,000.
3. Kasarani
Kasarani is the ideal place for anyone who is earning 50k as the average salary. They have nice houses for as little as 13k for a one bedroom, many young people choose to live here because it’s not too far from town as well.
3. Rongai
Also known as the diaspora because of how far it is. But as far as it is, it is also a cheap place to stay in. They have houses that are beautifully made and quite spacious as well. A one-bedroom can range from Sh7,000 to Sh14,000.
4. Embakasi
Embakasi is a common place for a nice house. They have affordable houses, One bedroom house in Embakasi goes for Sh 10,000 to Sh 15, 000 and a bedsitter goes for between Sh6,500 and Sh 10,000.
