President Uhuru Kenyatta on Wednesday, February 20, 2019, promised that he will donate a new school bus to Kereri Girls High school.
Mr. Kenyatta while speaking at Kisii High school said the new school bus will be donated to the school soon.
"Governor Ongwae has asked me to donate a school bus to Kereri Girls. I want to assure him that the bus will be issued to the school very soon so that our girls will use it to go to various exam contests to prepare them well for national exams," he said.
Uhuru urged Governor James Ongwae to continue doing good work and invest more in education.
"My brother governor Ongwae is doing good work. I wish to assure him that my government will always support him where necessary to boost the livelihoods of Kisii residents," said Uhuru.
He challenged teachers across the county to work hard and teach learners well for the purpose of sharpening their skills.
"Teachers should stop being lazy because the salaries they receive every month must give fruits. We want to get learners excelling in national exams to join high learning institutions," noted the President.
