Bahati Member of Parliament Kimani Ngunjiri has once again lashed out at Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) leader Raila Odinga over claims of disrupting unity in the ruling Jubilee Party.
Speaking during a press conference in Nakuru on Sunday, the MP alleged that the former premier is working around the clock to erode the unity between President Uhuru Kenyatta and his deputy William Ruto through his 2018 truce with the Head of State.
He claimed that Raila's main plan is to scuttle Ruto's 2022 presidential ambitions.
The MP bashed the opposition boss, noting that he should be uniting the nation judging by his age and political experience, and not fighting his juniors.
"Tunamheshimu Raila kwa sababu yeye ni mzee na amekuwa kwa siasa kwa miaka mingi lakini awache kupiganisha watoto (We respect Raila because of his age and long political career but he needs to stop fighting children)," he said.
The lawmaker likened the DP to Raila's son, judging by their age difference, adding that the opposition chief should not be engaged in fights with such people.
"Ruto is younger than you, wacha kupigana na watoto (stop fighting children)," he added.
The two have been involved in a bitter war of words lately, with Ruto and his team accusing Raila of trying to scuttle's the DP's 2022 plan.
