The County government will pump a massive Ksh 100 million in each of the seven sub-county health facilities for residents to access better-equipped referral hospitals within their localities, Korane has said.
Speaking during the annual community prayers in Nanighi, Fafi Constituency, Garissa Governor H.E. Ali Korane said Bura Town hospital will be among the modern medical facilities that will benefit from the project.
He said residents of Nanighi and others living in the remote parts of Fafi will access their medical needs from the facility which is much closer in distance than Garissa provincial Hospital.
Responding to a request on the water crisis in Nanighi center, the Governor assured locals that he will immediately embark on ensuring the provision of clean water supply to Nanighi Community.
Governor Korane said he has committed over Sh1.2 billion to water sector during this financial year to ensure the water crisis is reduced in Garissa county.
"After solving water and health crisis in this County, we shall turn our attention to Agriculture," said Governor Korane.
The Governor who was the chief guest during the occasion was accompanied by area MP Hon. Abdikarim Osman, senior government officials and a number of Members of the County Assembly.
