Neno Evangelism Pastor James Maina Ng’ang’a has bowed to pressure and apologised to journalist Linus Kaikai following the death threats.
The controversial man of God on Monday penned a heartfelt apology to the presenter after he threatened to end his life for criticizing his work. The pastor made an apology when he appeared before Kiambu Law Courts Chief Magistrate Patricia Gichohi.
“I apologize to Mr Kaikai if he was angered by those utterances… I did not mean it that way…” said a humble Pastor Ng’ang’a, as quoted by Citizen Digital.
Kakai responded to the apology saying he had forgiven him. The veteran anchor said that he has nothing against the servant of God after he agreed to apologise over the remarks sparked outrage countrywide.
“I have today forgiven Pastor James Ng’ang’a of Neno Evangelism for the threats to the life he directed at me in March this year,” tweeted the veteran journalist. Kakai had faulted the church for misleading the people.
He said that it saddening to see the way churches are acting in the name of preaching the gospel. The remarks, however, did not augur well with the pastor who took to social media to hit back at him over the same.
The pastor was arrested and arraigned before Kiambu Law Courts Resident Magistrate Justus Kituku on March 19, 2019
