South Mugirango Member of parliament Sylvanus Osoro has asked The Deputy President William Ruto to consider picking a running mate from Kisii in 2022.

Speaking in Bochari Constituency on Thursday during a rally presided by the Deputy president, Osoro said Kisii is ready to support the deputy president come 2022 and he should consider a running mate from the region.

"We must say the truth. 2022 we have made an early stand so that it's well known where we belong so that in 2022 when you will be contesting for presidency you pick a running mate from Kisii. We are ready to support you," Osoro told DP.

The Kisii leaders among them The County Deputy Governor Joash Maangi, Bonchari Constituency MP Oroo Oyioka, Bomachoge Borabu Member of Parliament Zadock Ogutu, Nyaribari Masaba MP Ezekiel Machogu, Bobasi MP Innocent Obiri among the rest have vowed to support Ruto come 2022.

Yesterday the DP presided over a fundraiser in aid of building the church at St Andrew Kaggwa Catholic Church at Suneka in Bonchari constituency.

The deputy is camping in Kisii since yesterday and is expected to tour a number of places today to preside over the launch of various government projects.
