Ndumbu was arreigned in a Machakos court and charged with alleged fraud on Monday.

Daniel Ndumbu was accused of having, together with others who were not in court, tried to fraud the company’s office of money of an amount that was not mentioned in court.

Appearing before Hon. Catherine Ocharo, Ndumbu denied the charges and was released on a cash bail of Sh100,000 or a bond amounting to Sh200,000 and surety of the same amount.

The case was slated to continue on July 24.

Since he lacked the said amount, he was detained in the remand until he raises the amount.

Though Ndumbu, as he tried to place his defense before the court, said that, “the allegations are not true but the chairman of the company framed him in the whole matter in the aim that he would silence me on exposing to other members of ill issues that are happening in the office over our contributed money towards land purchase.”

The office of the New Konza is situated at Makutano Machakos turn off after they relocated from Machakos town's Susu Center building.
