Baringo Senator Gideon Moi has disclosed that he is still keen on the vote-rich Western Kenya region ahead of his anticipated presidential bid.
Gideon who is suddenly very active has hinted at running for the top seat in the approaching 2022 general elections.
Speaking during the Iteso Cultural Festival at the Bomas of Kenya, Nairobi on Saturday, Gideon said that he is eyeing Busia County as his next stop.
The Senator stated that he will tour the Governor Sospeter Ojaamong's Busia county early in 2019.
"We are coming home (Teso) soon to speak out openly about our plans. Issues of politics God knows, we shall come to Busia early next year and speak about it.
"I urge you the Iteso community and Busia County to value education and conserve culture,” held Gideon, as quoted by the Standard.
He had pitched tent in Kakamega county during the weekend, where he took part in a series of fundraisers.
The Senator was accompanied by a host of area leaders including Amani National Congress (ANC) leader Musalia Mudavadi and Senator Cleophas Malala.
Regional leaders endorsed him as the best option after the exit of President Uhuru Kenyatta.They urged him to work with Mudavadi in realization of the dream.
