Social media users from Nyamira have labelled Lilian Muli 'unfocused' lady following her dramatic break up with business mogul Jared Ombong'i alias Niverton.
In her Instagram post, Ms Muli described the Shabana FC chairman as a 'community husband', remarks which angered hundreds of social media users in Nyamira.
"I am struggling to understand why Muli can abuse Niverton as a community husband. This is an insult to Abagusii people and we will not take it for granted," wrote Amos Onsoti on Nyamira Politics WhatsApp group.
Koech Omondi, another critic, accused Ms Muli of being insensitive: "She behaves as if at her home people don't marry many wives. Niverton is allowed to marry as many women as they can. That should not be a reason for divorce."
Celebrated journalist Angwenyi Gichana wondered why both mainstream and social media was concerned with the breakup, adding that media may have lost focus.
"She isn't the first person to break-up. This is where we lose focus. We have seen people breaking up. We shouldn't make it look as if it's a national disaster."
Though parties have remained silent on the matter, Lilian's post suggest that the couple may have been struggling to contain infidelity amongst them.
