Nominated Senator Isaac Mwaura now claims that every signals points at Deputy President William Ruto's loss in the approaching 2022 presidential race.
Mwaura has since hinted at joining the race to succeeding his boss President Uhuru Kenyatta who is on his way out.
Uhuru is expected to retire in 2022, thanks to the 2-presidential term constitutional limit.
But according to Mwaura, Ruto has exposed himself to blockages and possible encounters from rivals courtesy of his early campaigns.
"Ruto kuanza kampeni mapema huenda kutamuumiza. Katika siasa usiweke azma yako peupe sana maana utapigwa vita.
(His early campaigns will be the the main reason for his loss bacause in politics you should not be seen coming)," he advised.
Mwaura was speaking in an interview on Milele FM's 'Kivumbi Show' early Monday.
He added that the DP will also most likely be judged by history where only one Vice President, Daniel Moi, succeeded in succeeding founding father Jomo Kenyatta as President.
However, he noted that Ruto is very much fit and deserving of the seat arguing that his resilience and ability to rise from the lowest political level to the nation's second highest office was a clear indicator.
"Hata hivyo, nampongeza kwa kazi aliyoifanya. Kazi yake nzuri na nguvu na uvumilivu zinadhihirisha uongozi wake mwema.
(He has demonstrated that he is the best and should be considered for the seat once the poll reaches)," he added.
However, Ruto has maintained that he is only working in line with his role as the Deputy Head of State and is helping the President with his delivery bid.
