The two were among other Tanzanian artists and dancers who were heading to Sumbawanga to a show dubbed 'Nandy’s Festival.' before they were involved in an accident at Morogoro, Tanzania.

Fortunately, there were no reported deaths. The artistes sustained injuries and were rushed to the hospital

Other artists who had accompanied Nandy for her show included Juma Nature, Whozu, Stamina, Barnaba, Roma Billnass and Ice Boy.

"Tulijua tushakufa sisi..maana ake lilivyo enda hilo gari..likageuka mara ya kwanza, mara ya pili ivi, mara ya tutu, (We knew we were to die, because the vehicle overturned three times," said one of the casualties.

However, from the videos being shared on YouTube, it is only Nandy who is being seen with a hand injury. She appeared shaking and in great pain. Willy Paul could not be seen within the crowd.

He took it on social media to confirm he was fine after the accident.

"We are still alive. There was an accident but No death reports..." posted Willy Paul

Willy Paul and Nandy were among artists who performed at recently concluded Choma na Ngoma Festival that was held at KICC.

However, their performance at the show sparked mixed reactions from Kenyans, who took it to various social media platforms, to question Willy Paul's role as a gospel artiste. Some were saying he should instead join the secular industry.
