NTV’s Inspired by Grace show host Grace Msalame came out through her Twitter account on Thursday to reveal that she will be taking legal action against Uganda after they used one of her images without her permission.
According to the TV queen, Miss Curvy pageant held in Uganda was a competition started on Wednesday by Uganda’s Minister of Tourism Godfrey Kiwanda.
The competition is aimed at using curvy and sexy women to attract and boost tourism in the country.
The mother of two felt it was a violation of women’s rights using her image, which has caused her harm already.
She took to her twitter account to post a statement which reads: “Statement on unauthorized use of my image and likeness in promotional material for Miss Curvy Uganda 2019.”
In the statement, she said:
“You also know that my image and likeness have been used in promotional material for the pageant. I would like to categorically state that image and likeness were used without permission.
"I take great exception to the fact that my image and likeness are being used to propagate, disseminate and encourage the objectification of women’s bodies. I do not endorse or agree with such a message,” reads part of her statement.
