The architect of Kieleweke political faction Ngunjiri Wambugu has advised those who want Mt Kenya’s support in the 2022 presidential race on what to do.
Kieleweke is a political outfit whose main agenda, apparently, is stop Deputy President William Ruto from inhering President Uhuru Kenyatta in 2022.
Members of the team roam different parts of the country with anti-Ruto messages.
The face of the group, Ngunjiri, the Nyeri Town MP, on Sunday sent a message to DP Ruto.
“If you want Mt. Kenya to support you for your presidential bid, stop the shortcuts and go through President Kenyatta who is the Leader of Mt. Kenya,” Ngunjiri said.
The vocal MP accused Ruto of disrespecting the head of state by crisscrossing the country.
“Immediately after we were elected the President called us into Statehouse and asked us to give him four years to deliver what he had promised to Kenyans. But in 6 months there are people who started early campaigns for 2022 disrespecting the President, Ngunjiri said.
He added: “Our message is simple, those going around campaigning should stop, give President time to deliver on the promises he made of uniting the country, delivering the Big 4 and fighting corruption.”
