Just a day after being accused of holding secret meeting in Kisumu with MPs over graft and job allocations, Governor John Nyagarama will have a lot to do in the ongoing recruitment of Chief Officers.
For over ten months now, most departments have been operating without substantive Chief Officers with those in office only working courtesy of court orders.
A list of candidates released on Monday reflected a tough balancing act for the ODM governor even as he tries to restore hope im service delivery and competence among his workers.
Crowding the list are political losers, most of them who claim a share in his government.
Those in the list include former MCAs Kenneth Nyameino, Ezra Mochiemo and Jackson Mogusu, both who backed Nyagarama's re-election.
Others include Zipporah Osoro (nominated), Grace Nyamongo, Nancy Onsongo, Dr. Bitange Nyaoga and economic advisor Mr. Amwoma.
Mr. Nyagarama is under pressure to deliver even as the county was yet ranked among those dishing high amount of bribes in service delivery by the EACC report on Monday.
