Garissa Township MP Aden Duale has again insisted that Deputy President William Ruto is the right politician to succeed President Uhuru Kenyatta in 2022.
Duale argues that DP Ruto is experienced enough and will lead the country in the right way once Uhuru’s term ends in 2022.
Speaking in Garissa Town on Monday, Duale described DP Ruto as a ‘unifying politician,’ noting that the country will reconcile and live more harmoniously if he takes over power in 2022.
He said that the DP has an understanding of the social, economic and political issues facing Kenyans and will tackle them if he takes over power in 2022.
“DP Ruto is the best person to succeed President Uhuru Kenyatta and I am hopeful and confident that Kenyans will vote him when the time comes,” he said.
The Garissa MP asked DP Ruto’s competitors in 2022 to brace up for defeat.
Duale said that they will rally Kenyans to vote for DP Ruto when campaigns start.
The Garissa Township MP is among close allies and confidants of the Deputy President.
Political analyst Peter Ngure has described him (Duale) as DP Ruto’s ‘engine’ in 2022.
The Deputy President is among top politicians who have declared an interest to succeed President Kenyatta in the much anticipated 2022 presidential election.
Majority of Garissa politicians have vowed to rally behind his 2022 presidential bid.
