The National Alliance (TNA) former Secretary General Onyango Oloo has said that things are not good between President Uhuru Kenyatta and Deputy President (DP) William Ruto.
This comes amid apparent widening rift between the two, which has been seen as a pending fallout ahead of the 2022 general polls, where Uhuru was expected to endorse Ruto.
Oloo who is now the Kisumu County Assembly Speaker is of the opinion that the DP has been betrayed, and took too long to realize it after casting all his trust on Uhuru.
Speaking on Friday, he argued that though betrayals are common in politics, Ruto could have avoided the situation by being alert in the Jubilee Party house.
"Politics is not a love affair, you must be alert at all times. You don't trust your partner too much in politics. Ruto slept in the Jubilee house with both eyes closed and has been thrown out," he said on Radio Nam Lolwe.
He added that more should be expected, and Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) leader Raila Odinga should equally be very vigilant if his 2018 truce with Uhuru had any political deal.
Failure to this, he said, Raila could also land in the list of victims of Uhuru's trickery.
"Who expected that Ruto would be treated the way he is being treated now after their friendship and closeness between 2013 and 2017? This is politics not marriage," he added.
