A middle-aged man is recuperating at the Keringet Sub-County Hospital in Molo after a failed suicide attempt in a lodging.
The man is reported to have attempted suicide after killing his lover at Keringet Lodges on Wednesday night.
The two are said to have booked a room in the lodging the same evening.
Confirming the incident, Keringet Location Chief Nicholas Arap Kering' said that the lodging attendants reported the matter to the police after they realised the couple was not responding to their calls in the morning.
On breaking the door, Kering' said they found the man lying unconscious and his lover lying in a pool of blood in the same bed.
"The woman was stabbed in her back. Police have recovered the knife that was used to commit the crime. The man used the same knife to stab himself in a failed suicide attempt," said Kering'.
The officers have launched investigations into the matter.
The body of the deceased was taken to Molo Hospital mortuary.
