“Yesterday a lucky Susan Mugasia served tea worth Sh 250/- to @WilliamsRuto & these VIPs at her kiosk at Shianda market in Kakamega. The Deputy President gave her Sh 100,000/- en told her to keep the change!” posted Boni Khalwale.

Ruto was in Kakamega County for interdenominational prayers. He was accompanied by a section of Luhya leaders who vowed to support him over his development record.

While still on in Shianda, Mumias constituency,  rains disrupted their public meeting. DP Ruto and more than 15 MPs had to seek shelter in Mama Susan Mkhasia's kiosk. She served them with tea and chapati.

In acknowledging her service, DP Ruto paid her handsomely.

He then took to Twitter to post some photos while taking tea in the kiosk.

“While taking refuge when the rains disrupted our public meeting at Shianda, Mumias, Kakamega County, we enjoyed nice tea and chapati at Mama Susan Mkhasia's kiosk,” he posted.
