There was drama in Keumbu in Nyaribari Chache, Kisii County on Monday evening after a woman busted her cheating husband with his 'mpango wa kando' in a local food joint.
Witnesses said Vincent Moseti invited his 'mpango wa kando' Damaris Nyaboke for evening tea only to find his wife Debra Bosibori in the same hotel.
"Moseti entered the hotel with Nyaboke with an aim to drink evening tea but, Bosibori who laid a trap on him entered the hotel through the back backdoor and seated where the lovebirds had preserved," said the food joint owner Henry Machoni.
Machoni said Moseti and Nyaboke tried to escape from the scene thinking Bosibori had not spotted them in vain.
"Bosibori armed with a wooden block attacked the two before members of the public intervened," he stated.
Area police boss Joshua Muthoka said cases of men being unfaithful in marriage are at the peak in the area.
"Moseti and his 'mpango wa kando' were humiliated in public with the thorough beating. Men should learn to be faithful in marriage for the sake of avoiding unnecessary drama," he said.
Muthoka argued that after the public rescued Moseti and Nyaboke they escaped to unknown place due to shame.
