, Inspector General of police has vowed to take action

 against what he has termed as ‘misuse of public resources.

IG Joseph Boinnet said he was equally disturbed by a video that went viral on social media.“The law allows one to hire police for private functions; however, not to the scale depicted in the [Prophet Owuor] video. [I am assuring you that] action [is] being taken. Misuse of public resources is not permitted [in law],” Boinnet said.

Owuor made a grand entry as he was escorted by the police Land cruisers full of police officers, and two outriders with glaring security sirens.

Netizens wondered why the man of God was moving around with a ‘whole police station’.

The Prophet’s motorcade caused a gridlock in the town as several roads had also been closed for his convoy.

The most affected area was Kenyatta Avenue which he was using to go to the Merica hotel.
