Political analyst Edward Kisangani has faulted politicians for allegedly abandoning Kenyans to realize personal goals.
In a tweet Saturday, the former Citizen TV resident political commentator claimed that most top politicians are now struggling to please the ruling regime.
He said that they have forgotten their leadership role and are all drifting towards President Uhuru Kenyatta, having stopped addressing Kenyans' problems.
The commentator observed that they are now trying to outdo each other in pursuit of the attention of President Uhuru Kenyatta, terming the entire political class 'cursed'.
"The political class in this country is totally cursed. Instead of telling us about the type of leadership they wish to provide for Kenya each member of the political class is now desperate for Uhuru's attention," he said.
This comes at a time when some of the members of the top leadership group seem to be developing a special liking for Uhuru, in what seems to have even killed the opposition.
On March 9, opposition leader and Uhuru's chief critic Raila Odinga reached a truce with Uhuru and is no longer active as before. The same applies to his lieutenants.
On Friday, another opposition figure and Wiper Democratic Movement (WDM) leader Kalonzo Musyoka proposed constitutional reforms to prolong Uhuru's presidential term.
The apparent romance between the three leaders seems to have brought the opposition to its knees as the side remains dormant and inactive.
