Garissa has announced that it will be recruiting nurses as a way of enhancing better service delivery in hospitals serving under its jurisdiction.
Speaking in Bura, Fafi sub-county, Governor Ali Korane said that his government is committed to promoting the livelihoods of the locals by offering better services in local hospitals and dispensaries.
To achieve the dream, Korane noted that he will recruit at least 121 nurses who will be deployed to various health institutions across the county.
"I am committed to promoting better healthcare to our people. To cut the shortage currently witnessed, we shall be hiring 121 Nurses to be deployed to our various hospitals and dispensaries," Korane stated.
The news comes at a time that the county government has been blamed for not doing much to improve healthcare services in the county.
Recently, Masalani sub-county hospital hit the headlines for poor service delivery and graft cases involving loss of funds and alleged theft of drug supplies by hospital staff.
