ODM Director of Communications Philip Etale revisited the ghastly plane crash that took the lives of Professor George Saitoti, Orwa Ojode, Kipkalya Kones, and Lorna Laboso
Kones and Laboso died in 2008 while Saitoti died in 2012.
In his tweet, Etale held out the hope that the souls of leaders would rest in peace.
"Today in 2008, we lost Hon. Kipkalya Kones and Hon. Lorna Laboso in an air crash in the Mau area of Narok. Also today in 2012, we lost Hon. Prof. George Saitoti and Hon. Joshua Orwa Ojode in a copter crash at Kibiku Forest in Ngong. May their souls continue to RIP, " the ODM Director of Communication posted on Twitter on Monday.
At the time of their deaths, Kones served as Roads Minister while Laboso, who is the younger sister of Bomet County Governor Joyce Laboso, served as assistant Minister for Home Affairs.
Saitoti was the then Internal Security Minister with Ojode, the then Ndhiwa MP and his assistant in the Internal ministry.
Their helicopter reportedly crashed after developing mechanical problems. The pilots and the bodyguards of the four leaders died in the crashes that shook the nation.
