Known is the enmity between former Attorney General Sir Charles Njonjo and constitutional expert Yash Pal Ghai.
The bad blood between Ghai and Njonjo was recently revealed while speaking on Point Blank, a political show aired on KTN by Tony Gachoka.
He linked his deportation to Tanzania for over 17 years, to a time when Njonjo was in power and considered him a threat to the Kenyan constitution.
Just like Ghai, Njonjo has as well not been in good terms with former President Mwai Kibaki, who just like Ghai, they don't see eye to eye despite being neighbours in Muthaiga.
It began shortly after Njonjo facilitated the picking of Kibaki as former President Daniel Moi's vice in 1978.
However, Kibaki would later come to realise that Njonjo saw him as a weak man, and wanted him there so that he could easily take over later.
To realise his plan, Njonjo resigned from public service and hoped onto elective politics.
However, Kibaki somehow managed to retain his seat under Moi until he was kicked out in 1988, the seat going to Josphat Karanja, which made Njonjo angry.
Even after Kibaki's exit, their enmity continued, With Njonjo taking it upon himself to frustrate Kibaki.
He returned in 1992 to support founding Vice-President Jaramogi Oginga of Ford against Kibaki who was then vying for the presidency on DP, worsening the conditions between them.
Though Kibaki appeared better placed to carry the day, Kenneth Matiba's Ford Asili would soon emerge, handing Moi another term at the helm of the government.
In 2007, Njonjo supported ODM leader Raila Odinga, Jaramogi's second born son, against Kibaki who was seeking his second and last term on the Party of National Unity (PNU) ticket, a race that Kibaki controversially won anyway.
The enmity played out openly for all to see during the burial of Moi's wife Lena in 2004, one of the few events they both attended, where despite bring on the same podium, they did not even bother to look at each other's direction.
Kibaki arrived at Moi's Kabarak home in the company of his late wife Lucy and apparently ignored Njonjo.
The gentlemen remained silent to each other all through.
Many years down the line, the situation remains the same between the two gentlemen.
