The former prime minister has mourned Peter Kenneth’s mother.
Raila described Ms Rahab Wambui as a strong woman who changed the lives of many. He described her death as a big blow to not only her immediate family but also the nation.
Raila also asked the family to be strong in these hard times.
“My condolences go out to @Peter_Kenneth following the passing on of his Mother, Rahab Wambui Muhuni. May God grant him and the family strength and fortitude at this trying moment and may her soul rest in eternal peace. Poleni Kwa msiba,” wrote Raila Odinga
The former presidential candidate, Peter Kenneth’s mother, passed away on Thursday morning after battling illness for a long time. The late Ms Rahab Wambui died while receiving treatment in Aga Khan Hospital, Nairobi.
In the past interview, Peter Kenneth described her a mother as the best mother who did everything to visit him in school despite all the odds. Other leaders who have sent their condolence message to the family involves Secretary-General United Nations Conference on Trade and Development (UNCTAD) Mukhisa Kituyi.
