Police in Eldoret, Uasin Gishu county are investigating an incident where a man is accused of stabbing his wife after a domestic row.
The man allegedly used a kitchen knife to kill the wife who has been identified as Khanali Mwonobe in the suspect's house, before trying to flee the scene.
Neighbours said that the two had domestic issues and were involved in an argument, after which the husband struck, stabbing the wife in the neck and killing her on the spot.
According to Emily Mwonobe, a sister to the deceased, the man allegedly took the move after their argument intensified, as she was told by the neighbors.
She told the Citizen Digital that she was phoned by the neighbours, before rushing to the scene to find her sister lying lifeless on the bed.
Emily added that she found the suspect at the scene as he was burning the clothes of the deceased, before trying to get away.
The police said that they are investigating the issue.
The incident has resulted in mourning at the home of the deceased in Shamberere village in Malava, Kakamega county.
