Interior Cabinet Secretary (CS) Fred Matiang'i has ruled out the possibility of extending the ongoing Huduma Namba registration.
Speaking on NTV on Monday night, Matiang'i said there will be no reason to extend the registration exercise.
According to Matiang'i, over eight million Kenyans had registered on the Huduma system by mid-day Monday.
"We are not going to extend the Huduma registration and Kenyans should take advantage of the remaining days to register," he said during the interview.
The CS indicated that the ongoing countrywide registration has not experienced any technical hitches.
He revelead that registration for Huduma Namba will be a continous process.
The CS said that the kits being used to capture data will remain with local chiefs to ensure continous registration.
Matiang'i insisted that Huduma Namba will ensure efficiency in delivery of government servcies to Kenyans.
He asked Kenyans to ignore rumors being peddled about the Huduma Namba.
The Huduma registration was launched by President Uhuru Kenyatta in Machakos county three weeks ago and runs to May 18.
A section of religious leaders have, however, raised concerns over the Huduma Namba terming it 'satanic'.
The goverment has refuted the satanic claims, noting that the registration is good for Kenyans.
