A family from Bokeire in Bonchari constituency, Kisii County is appealing for financial support to help clear a hospital bill of Sh320,557.
The family of Caroline Kemunto Kaunda (pictured) is seeking help after Kemunto developed a kidney problem.
Shaddy Nyasimi said Kemunto is still undergoing treatment at Kenyatta national hospital.
"She is in class 6 at Kioge primary school and was first diagnosed with a kidney problem at Kisii Teaching and Referral hospital last year December where she was admitted for one month before being transferred to Kenyatta National hospital where she has been admitted for two months receiving treatment," he said.
Mr Nyasimi said despite the fact that Kemunto is responding well to medication at KNH, the medical bill has hiked and the family is unable to raise the huge amount.
"The bill has accumulated for the months she has spent at KNH receiving treatment. For this, therefore, the family is seeking financial support from well-wishers to help clear the bill so that she can be discharged from hospital to get back home and start going to school," he added.
