Opposition leader Raila Odinga will be the ultimate loser in the ongoing political row between Migori Governor Okoth Obado and area senatorial hopeful Ochilo Ayacko.
The row began when Ochillo who challenged Obado for the gubernatorial seat in the August 8 polls was handed a direct ticket by Odinga’s Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) to vie for the seat.
He has since termed the decision as undemocratic and dictatorial and is seemingly rallying behind former Rongo lawmaker Dalmas Otieno who has since shifted to the Liberal Party of Kenya.
The row is set to lead to unending rows should Ayacko win the post, leaving the two with no time to work and resulting to poor performance, which will ultimately land on Odinga’s shoulders.
Judging by that, he will have it hard convincing the remaining part of the nation to elect him for President, as he will be considered unable to develop the entire nation after failing to coordinate development in his own backyard.
In the event that Otieno vies and wins, Raila and his party will be forced to hide their faces and the same could mark the start of the end of his dominance in the lakeside province.
It will subject Raila to mockery and ridicule from his rivals, most likely from the ruling Jubilee Party, for failing to stamp authority in his backyard and lead to the questioning of his ability to steer the party into government.
`With Ayacko as the victor, still, the two sides will engage each other in blames and counter blames that will derail their work, the blame landing on Raila as both leaders are in office courtesy of his party.
