NARC Kenya party leader Martha Karua has castigated DP Ruto for allegedly insulting a Kenyan community in his past speech.
The no-nonsense politician pointed out that it was surprising that a leader of the deputy president's caliber could utter 'such divisive words'.
For the better part of Monday, a video of DP William Ruto insulting a Kenyan community went viral. Social media users castigated the DP with some demanding for public apology.
"I now agree with @MarthaKarua : I hold the view that @WilliamsRuto is the least qualified for the job," read Duncan Otieno's post.
In the past, the former Kirinyaga gubernatorial hopeful had dismissed a social media rumour claims that she has endorsed DP Ruto to succeed President Uhuru Kenyatta.
"I hold the view that @WilliamsRuto is the least qualified for the job and as such would never endorse him. His campaign should desist from dragging my name along," argued Karua.
The former Gichugu MP gave Ruto a dressed down, but admitted that the act has been the deputy president's habit.
"Shame of a DP profiling an entire community , but then this is something he has consistently done," she said.
DP Ruto is heard in the video saying: "Those people telling us a lot of stories, don't we know them? They are destroyers. If not destroying houses, then it is railway lines. If not so,they are separating friends."
